Hand, Foot and Mouth Diseases

Posted by on 14 June 2013

There has been an outbreak of Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease in the whole region of Auckland, including Manukau area. Praise the Lord we have not discovered any cases in our Centre. The symptoms of Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease include:

  • Mild fever and a sore throat
  • Painful red blisters on their tongue, mouth, palms of their hands, or sores of their feet
  • Loss of appetite
  • A general feelings of weakness or tiredness

In order to prevent the disease from spreading, we would like to seek parents’ cooperation in:

  1. 1.       Keep your child at home if they have fever (even mild); and
  2. 2.       Use the hand sanitizer provided before entering the Centre (both children and adults)

Thank you very much for your cooperation.
